Zacharenia Garofalaki is member of the Laboratory Teaching Staff at the University of West Attica – Dpt. of Informatics & Computer Engineering. She holds a Master’s Degree in Applied Information Systems from the Piraeus University of Applied Sciences (2015, Piraeus – GR) and a Diploma in Electronic Computer Systems Engineering from the Piraeus University of Applied Sciences (2000, Piraeus – GR). Currently she is a doctorate researcher in the University of Piraeus. She has worked in R&D programs focusing on ad-hoc, wireless sensor, and vehicular networks. She is continuously collaborating with the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) for the past 5 years. She has been employed as an IT Systems & Network Engineer for 17 years and, since 2016, she is a Teaching Fellow for the Dpt. of Informatics and Computer Engineering, University of West Attica. Her research interests include IoT software and security, network design, ad-hoc networking, cyber-physical systems.
