Vasileios Gkamas

Vasileios Gkamas obtained his Diploma from the department of Information and Communication Systems Engineering, University of Aegean, Greece, in 2004 and his MSc on Integrated Hardware and Software Systems and PhD on Computer Science from the Department of Computer Engineering and Informatics, University of Patras, in 2006 and 2015 respectively. Since 2006, he is with the Greek School Network and Networking Technologies Directorate of Computer Technology Institute and Press “Diophantus” participating in numerous national and european projects at the area of large-scale high-speed networks, educational e-services and e-infrastructures. Since 2016, he is also with the Department of Informatics and Computer Engineering, University of West Attica, Greece as a Scientific Associate.

For the period 2007-2011 and 2013 he was also with the Technological Educational Institute of Western Greece, Greece, as a laboratory associate teaching various lessons related to Information and Communication Technologies. He has published 17 papers in various well-known refereed books, international conferences and journals. His main research interests are in the areas of optical networks and distributed computing systems.
